Kamilla Oresvärd lives with her husband, two daughters and dog partly in Gothenburg and partly in Marbella. At the university in Gothenburg she studied language and literature.
In 2015 Kamilla Oresvärd debuted with her crime novel, The Memory Keeper. The book is skilfully constructed with clever intrigues, realistic and fast paced dialogue with many layered characters.
At the centre, we find Stina Seger. She is a detective superintendent with her own different quirks and personal failings, a human police officer that hits you right in the heart. Her private life is turbulent – the husband is absent, the teenage daughters stubborn and with her she carries a difficult grief. At the same time, she has a lot of responsibility at work, as head of a police team with strong wills. The pressure at home combined with work makes her make some decisions that will have fatal consequences.
